Portland continues to be the preferred new destination for event and event planning. Already in 2018, event planners had more options for corporate or wedding events. If you are looking for a venue for your event, here are some of the newer or expanded event spaces in 2018.
With event spaces ranging from 425 to 1872 sq. ft. and a ballroom that has theatre seating capacity of 240 people, the Porter Portland could scale for any event. Being in the heart of Downtown Portland also gives guests the opportunity to enjoy one of the most walkable cities in the world.
The Jupiter Hotel has an elegant covered 2,800 sq. ft. outdoor space lined with lush bamboo, crystal chandeliers, and two-tiered stage for entertainment known as the DreamTENT. When you add the DreamBox with an additional 1000 sq. ft., you are set for board meetings, brainstorming sessions, social events and even cozy nuptials. They have a great website that allows you to see 360 views of each event space.
Everything is new in Portland’s Pearl District. Only 30 minutes from the Portland Airport, Canopy by Hilton features 1,095 sq. ft. of collaborative meeting space, complete with state-of-the-art technology and catering options.
Radison Red is located in downtown Portland and claims to be an outside-the-box type of event space. On their website they boast, “No rigid rules or stuffy hotel meeting spaces at RED, the unique, multifunctional spaces will bring a bit of outside-the-box thinking to your business meetings and we’re fully equipped with ping-pong tables. It’s important to work hard and play hard.”
